Wildcat Microschool

Haverhill, New Hampshire

Allowing children to thrive with innovative approaches to learning.

The Wildcat Microschool is a homeschool learning pod. We focus on student-driven learning in which students can learn at their own pace and engage in hands-on projects and collaborative activities. Wildcat Microschool is able to offer an educational opportunity that our current public education system is not able to support. The teacher-to-student ratio is smaller, allowing for more support, less distractions, and development of stronger relationships. Learning is individualized to meet each student’s needs. There will be greater opportunities for social interactions, and self-directed free play.

I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. I have been working in education for 15 years, with experience as a preschool teacher, behavior specialist, and a school counselor. I pride myself on being an advocate for creating learning environments that children can thrive in. I believe in supporting the whole-child through hands-on and experiential learning.

I have been a teacher for 15 years! I have had experience working with Pre-K - 8th graders. As an educator my goals are to engage students in learning and make the experience fun! When students are excited about their learning, they will soar!

I enjoy spending time with my family and soaking up the sunshine. This last year I have had the opportunity to join Prenda as a guide. I have also worked in a child development center as a lead preschool and toddler teacher. I believe children learn best in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. My goal is to make learning fun!

Location

The microschool is located in our guides’ homes, which are conveniently located within a few miles of each other. Transportation between the locations will be provided.  We believe that students can learn and thrive outside the typical classroom setting. Students will will have access to flexible seating options to meet their learning needs. We have access to many acres of forest right out our front door where opportunities to explore and engage in nature-based learning are waiting. We look forward to using this land as well as other local resources to provide these outdoor learning opportunities.

Learning can happen anywhere!
